Today was the day for English discussion club activities, "Express Yourself in English !".
Thank you all who joined the activities !

Today's theme was "Conversation".

At first, Yuko-san showed us two tongue twisters.
One was good for training to pronounce "p", and the other was good for "s" and "sh" pronounce.

Then we made pair work, 10questions Q and A.
After the pair works, Yuko-san picked up the question and asked us.
That question was;
"Have you ever overheard a conversation you wish you hadn't ?"

"overhear" means "hear when one is not meant to hear".
To hear the others conversation as like BGM.

Yuko-san also gave us some exsample of "Conversation starters".

Peaple of USA are good at making conversation with unknown each other, talk about general topics, I think.
They make "Conversation" to exchange thoughts of feelings with keeping one topic.
Even to switch the topic.
A useful phrase to switch the topic is "Oh! It reminds me of ....."

For exsample:
A) Almost of all children sing "Let it go"!
I think I heard it children's singing more than original.
B) Oh! It reminds me of Tony Award !
Do you know the result of this years ?

That is good skill to make conversation even in Japanese, isn't that ?
